Devin -- February 2017

February is of course the month of love, but when it is hard to just communicate you wonder if your son knows what love is when he cannot talk about it. It was great though to see all that he has done this month and how quickly he is learning. He has been loving school and doing so well. He is almost going the full day four days a week. We also had a nice little vacation to Ann Arbor so Devin had a wonderful time with the grandparents. Here are a few more highlights of the month!

  • Has been waking up dry but still not going on the potty
  • Dev has been putting his own winter hat on
  • At school they tried sugar snap peas and Devin was the only one to try them, and then ate three more of them!
  • He also notices any time his schedule is changed at school too
  • Devin started going to Little Lambs rather than staying in nursery at church
  • After a nap, there is a lot of times that Devin will wake up screaming, wonder if he has nightmares
  • One of Devin's favorite things at school is music class and has handled transitions well
  • For conferences for his schooling, it was great to hear that he was becoming braver and working on communication with pictures called "pects cards"
  • Valentine's day we decorated cookies and he loved getting to eat all the sprinkles and frosting first.
  • While at school, Devin had a low grade fever but soon perked up and felt better
  • At a family birthday party, did really well sharing love with cousin
  • We picked up Taco Bell for dinner and Devin tried everything!
  • Loves to play Peek-a-boo with Daddy and I love the giggles
  • When Ryan would change a light bulb, Devin always wanted to climb the ladder too
  • I would often have Devin help me pull the trash cans in from the street
  • Sometimes Devin will run from Daddy and only snuggle with me, but always giggling when Ryan would put a blanket on him
  • We brought cupcakes from Ann Arbor and Devin wanted them, so he problem solved and brought a chair over to the counter to get them
  • Upset when I brought him to the car, but I did not know what he was upset until I looked and saw that he had lost a boot.

My boys and buckets?

It has been such a great time to celebrate Christmas but the start of the new year brought with it many fun and new adventures. We are continually blown away by Kyler's kind heart and love for those around him. He has been learning so much and loves to pay with friends but often has to be reminded to wait his turn when speaking and to think about how his words will affect others even if they are true. Here are a few fun things that happened this month.

Kyler -- February 2017

This kid just keeps us on our toes and boy is he full of curiosity and heart. I love to see how he thinks and cars for others. He is such a sweet friend and thinks about others in a way that I could not imagine a 5 year old boy would! What a great time seeing how this love bug shares love during Valentine's day. Here are a few of the high-lights we have had this month!
